Summoning

Summoning

Summoning is the core mechanic of Guhverse! Whenever you summon, the game’s generator creates a brand new Guh with unique colours, shapes, and traits.

If you want the rendering details behind that process, read Are Guhs AI?.

The Summoning Flow

To summon a Guh, head to the Create page. A standard summon costs 100 Guhp. When you click summon, the Guh is instantly generated and added to your collection.

Boosting Your Chances

You can spend extra Guhp during a summon to increase the odds of discovering rare traits like Shininess, Extreme shapes, and Guhvian status. The boost you receive from extra Guhp is subject to diminishing returns. It is calculated using a logarithmic scale to determine your Boost Factor (BB):

B=ln(1+Extra Guhp400)ln(2) B = \frac{\ln\left(1 + \frac{\text{Extra Guhp}}{400}\right)}{\ln(2)}

This Boost Factor is then applied to the base chances of your summon. Emporium boosters add extra bonuses on top of that base boost.

  • Shiny Chance: Pshiny=1512+B×0.008P_{shiny} = \frac{1}{512} + B \times 0.008, plus any Shimmer Shard bonus.
  • Extreme Chance: Pextreme=1512+B×0.008P_{extreme} = \frac{1}{512} + B \times 0.008, plus any Chaos Crystal bonus.
  • Radial Gradient Chance: Pradial=132P_{radial} = \frac{1}{32}, plus any Orbital Lens bonus.
  • Guhvian Chance: Pguhvian=18192+B×0.00002P_{guhvian} = \frac{1}{8192} + B \times 0.00002

This means that while spending extra Guhp always helps, you will see the most significant gains from the first few thousand Guhp spent.

The All-In Function

If you have at least 5,000 Guhp in your wallet, you can use the “Guh All-In” button. This spends your entire Guhp balance on a single summon. As a reward for your bravery, the extra Guhp spent this way is treated as if it were 50% larger (1.5×1.5\times) for the purposes of calculating your Boost Factor (BB)!

Consumable Boosters

Before summoning, you can consume boosters purchased from the Emporium to shift specific summon odds. Shimmer Shard adds a flat Shiny bonus, Chaos Crystal adds a flat Extreme bonus, Spinal Catalyst and Prism Dust bias bump and colour counts, and Orbital Lens raises Radial Gradient odds.

Base Generation Chances

For those who love the numbers, here are the base probabilities for rare traits on a standard summon:

  • Shiny: 1 in 512
  • Extreme: 1 in 512
  • Radial Gradient: 1 in 32
  • Guhvian: 1 in 8192

The Custom Dye Lab

On the Create page, you can use the Custom Dye Lab before summoning. Crafting a tint consumes pigment ingredients from your inventory, while pattern dyes add stripes, polka dots, or stars to the next Guh you summon. These changes are cosmetic and do not change rarity or genetics.
